PHOTO: Western Hotel No More

Workers demolished a hotel room wing of the former Western hotel-casino Monday in downtown Las Vegas. The former low-budget casino, once owned by Jackie Gaughan, was sold to the Downtown Project earlier this year. The Downtown Project plans to keep the main building that once housed the casino, but it is unlikely to ever be a gambling hall again.
