Pedestrian struck, killed in east valley

A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle while jaywalking in the east valley Monday night.

The man was taken to University Medical Center with head trauma and later died, Las Vegas police supervisor Lt. Dave Valenta said.

Metro’s traffic fatality detectives are investigating the incident.
