Pedestrian killed in traffic accident identified

A 43-year-old Las Vegas man killed Monday morning when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street was identified Wednesday by the Clark County coroner’s office as Joe Edward Henderson Jr.

Las Vegas police said the vehicle involved in Henderson’s death fled the scene.

Henderson was hit about 2:20 a.m. while crossing Nellis Boulevard near Carey Avenue in a marked crosswalk.
