Pedestrian hit by car at 15th and Charleston

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of 15th Street and East Charleston Boulevard on Monday morning.

The crash occurred about 11:07 a.m., according to Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer.

Witnesses at the scene helped the pedestrian out of the street. They reported that the car fled the scene, Meltzer said, but the driver was later located.

The pedestrian’s condition, gender and age were not immediately available.
