Use semi-rotten veggies to eat away at pillbugs

Question: I have voracious pillbugs eating my tomato plants, starting at the stalk at ground level.  These are the bugs that resemble armadillos and can roll themselves into a ball. Is there anything I can do to protect the plants or get rid of the bugs?

Bishop Gorman High School was one of 10 schools nationwide selected to perform at a national theater festival. The school is scheduled to host free performances of “Godspell” June 16 and 17 for the public.

So are Las Vegas illustrator Louise Schroeder’s characters from “The Blues Go Birding Across America.” The Blues started out as a whimsical art series Schroeder created starring cartoonish blue birds traveling to see realistic birds. The artist knew there was a book there and sent her art to Dawn Books. The publisher teamed her up with authors Carol L. Malnor and Sandy F. Fuller. Reed Whipple Cultural Arts Center’s namesake was a champion for downtown

Reed Whipple, the namesake for the Reed Whipple Cultural Arts Center, 821 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is credited with conceiving the idea for municipal parking garages downtown to handle the city’s congested streets. He also was instrumental in negotiating the deal for the Foley Federal Building to be located at 300 Las Vegas Blvd. South, near Bridger Street.

City of Las Vegas quietly reopens Huntridge Circle Park

The swift silent reopening of Huntridge Circle Park last month came as a surprise to many in the neighborhood. Las Vegas city officials didn’t announce the Memorial Day weekend opening. Crews just began hanging up signs with hours and days open. As of press time, even the city’s website still listed the troubled park as closed.
