Cold front may bring snow to mountains

A cold front expected to arrive Wednesday could bring several inches of snow to Mount Charleston and low temperatures in the upper 40s to some west valley neighborhoods. Forecasters expect the storm to bring wind, rain and unseasonably cool temperatures through Thursday.

Two Clark County School District buses involved in traffic accidents

A bus taking 44 students home from school was hit by a car this afternoon on Tropicana Avenue near Interstate 15. No students were seriously injured, but the bus driver and three students were taken to a hospital as a precaution.

Senate Bill 257 imposes tougher punishment for graffiti taggers

A new law went into effect Oct. 1 making graffiti-related offenses committed on any designated historic site in Nevada a category C felony, which comes with mandatory jail time. It allows civil lawsuits to be filed against the parents of children 18 or younger if the juveniles have defaced property with graffiti. The property owner now can seek triple damages, plus lawyer fees. The law also addresses counseling and community service.
