One killed in two-vehicle crash in east valley

A man riding a three-wheel vehicle died after rear-ending a car Tuesday night in east Las Vegas, police said.

A 2022 Honda Accord was stopped at a traffic light around 7:30 p.m. near North Nellis Boulevard and East Harris Avenue when a 2020 Polaris Slingshot hit the back of the Accord, according to a statement from the Metropolitan Police Department.

A 38-year-old Las Vegas man driving the three-wheeler died at the scene.

Police said a 35-year-old Henderson man driving the Honda was hospitalized with minor injuries and later released.

Nellis was closed in both directions near the crash for several hours while officers investigated.
