One dead in Las Vegas motorcycle crash

A man was killed, and a 9-year-old child riding on his motorcycle was injured, in a collision with a pickup Thursday near Harmon Avenue and Mountain Vista Street, Las Vegas police said.

Lt. Dan McGrath said the collision happened about 5 p.m. The motorcyclist died at the scene, McGrath said. The child riding with him was taken to a hospital and was expected to live.
