North Las Vegas police looking for knife-wielding robber

North Las Vegas police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man linked to a Sept. 9 robbery near a casino.

Shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 a man armed with a knife approached an elderly couple in a parking garage at the Cannery Casino in the 2100 block of East Craig Road and demanded their belongings. After becoming impatient, the robber stabbed the man and pushed the woman to the ground, police said.

The robber than stole the couple’s silver 2003 Pontiac Grand Am with Nevada plates 436YNV, police said.

The couple was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The robber is described as a 25-year-old black man who stands at about 5 foot 10 and weighs about 175 pounds. He wore a red, white and blue striped shirt and blue denim jeans police said.
