No crime suspected in death near Speedway

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a body found in a vehicle north of Las Vegas.

The body was found in the driver’s seat of a red Mitsubishi in a desert area near Interstate 15 and Las Vegas Boulevard North, just past the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

It was found about 10 a.m. Friday, authorities said. Foul play was not suspected, but the Clark County coroner’s office will determine the cause of death and identify the victim.
