Nellis to accept comments on environmental assessment
Nellis Air Force Base will accept public comments through Feb. 10 on a draft environmental assessment for the O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center campus.
The base hospital is being converted to a medical center as more space becomes available when the Department of Veterans Affairs vacates the building to move into a new VA medical center in the northern Las Vegas Valley.
Improvements to the O’Callaghan campus include renovation of three floors and construction of a medical education and training facility adjacent to the hospital.
The hospital was redesignated as a medical center under this year’s National Defense Authorization Act.
