Motorcyclist dies after North Las Vegas crash

A single-vehicle motorcycle crash in North Las Vegas left one man dead Tuesday afternoon.

Nevada Highway Patrol was called just before 3:30 p.m. to the Lake Mead Boulevard on-ramp to northbound Interstate 15. A motorcycle had crashed into a dirt area and its rider died after being taken to University Medical Center, trooper Jeremie Elliott said.

Investigators were still uncertain of the cause of the crash at 5 p.m.

One westbound lane of Lake Mead Boulevard was partially blocked, but traffic was still able to get through without major delays, Elliott said.
