A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed Sunday night in a crash in a west Las Vegas neighborhood, police said.
Police were called about 5:30 p.m. to the crash on the 900 block of Desert Oak Court, a residential area near Alta and Durango drives, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Brian Boxler said.
A 26-year-old man driving a 2008 Kawasaki ZX-6R motorcycle was approaching the cul-de-sac when the bike overturned, police said. The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle and hit a power box.
The motorcycle struck an unoccupied 2002 Toyota Tacoma, police said.
The man was taken to University Medical Center, where he died. He will be identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.
