Motorcyclist dies after crashing into wall

A 61-year-old man was killed Wednesday night after he crashed a motorcycle into a block wall in the southeast valley.

Las Vegas police said the rider, who was not identified, was riding a 2001 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on Reno Avenue, west of Pearl Street, when he veered off the left side of the road and struck the block wall.

The collision occurred near Tropicana Avenue and Pecos Road.

The man was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he died. The Clark County coroner’s office will identify the man.

This was the 25th fatal collision in the Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction this year.
