Motorcyclist critically injured in central Las Vegas crash

Updated March 30, 2020 - 11:32 pm

A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a crash Monday afternoon in the central valley, Las Vegas police said.

Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Jeff Stuart said the rider was taken to University Medical Center in “super critical” condition after a crash on the 4200 block of West Charleston Boulevard, near Valley View Boulevard.

Police said in a statement late Monday that a 2003 Hummer H2 pulled in front of a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle near Charleston and Bedford Road around 2:27 p.m. The motorcyclist, Eric Twitty, 38, swerved to avoid the Hummer and crashed into a light pole. The rider was ejected, police said.

The 49-year-old man driving the Hummer didn’t stay at the scene but was located later and cooperated with police, the statement said.

The investigation was ongoing.
