More than 1,500 enjoy Christmas dinner at Catholic Charities

More than 1,500 people enjoyed a Christmas Day dinner on Sunday at Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas.
A traditional dinner was served to the homeless and needy between 10 a.m. and noon at the Catholic Charities St. Vincent Lied Dining Facility on N. Las Vegas Boulevard (near Owens).
The organization expected to serve about 1,700 meals. More than 150 volunteers served the meals. The Catholic Charities St. Vincent Lied Dining Facility has been serving meals to the community’s homeless and needy men, women and children since 1965.
