Man found dead in pool is ID’d as 58-year-old Las Vegan

A man found dead Sunday afternoon in a residential pool in the east valley was identified Monday by the Clark County coroner’s office as 58-year-old Jervious Lee Rhodes of Las Vegas.

The office hadn’t determined the cause or manner of Rhodes’ death.

Las Vegas police said they received a call about a deceased man at 3:48 p.m. at a home on the 2300 block of Albarth Street, near Nellis Boulevard and Sahara Avenue.

Police said the man is believed to have been at the bottom of the pool for at least several hours.

Detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes Section were investigating.

Police said Rhodes did not live at the home and its residents didn’t know him. The residents were cooperative with the police investigation.

Police said the man’s body didn’t have any trauma and no signs of a struggle were found. The pool was fenced in.
