Man dies when big rig collapses on him in northeast valley
A man was killed Sunday at a northeast valley truck stop after the jack holding his big rig collapsed and caused the vehicle to crush him, Las Vegas police said.
The identity of the deceased man was not released by authorities.
Lt. Jeffrey Whitehead said the incident occurred about 1:30 p.m. at the Maverick Truck Stop, 3235 Las Vegas Blvd. North, near Cheyenne Avenue.
Whitehead said the man was either changing a tire or working on the front end of the truck when the jack gave way.
