Lollipop Run to boost support for Nevada Children’s Center Sept. 7

Nevada Children’s Center will host a sweet event at UNLV on Sept. 7.

This five-kilometer Lollipop Run is being paired with a one-mile fun walk and several shorter dashes for children.

It includes a finish line medal and a goody bag from the Sugar Factory, which is partially sponsoring the event.

Proceeds will go toward the center’s therapeutic day treatment programs, said Kristi Macaluso, director of business operations.

The center works with up to 70 children year-round who suffer from the aftermath of abuse and neglect, as well as behavioral disorders.

Registration for the run is available online at www.lollipoprun.com.
