Libraries to extend hours after Labor Day

Local libraries will begin staying open an hour later Mondays through Thursdays, after the Labor Day holiday.

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District’s urban branches will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday hours will remain 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The district cut hours three years ago as a budget cutting measure.

The urban branches are Centennial Hills, Clark County, Enterprise, Las Vegas, Sahara West, Spring Valley, Summerlin, Sunrise, Rainbow, West Las Vegas, Whitney, West Charleston and Windmill. The rural libraries will maintain current hours.
