Las Vegas detectives investigate stabbing death of man in northeast valley

Homicide detectives are investigating the stabbing death of a man in the northeast valley Saturday evening.

A 34-year-old black man suffering from a stab wound to the chest was found unresponsive just before 4 p.m. behind a CiCi’s Pizza, 309 N. Nellis Blvd. His body was near a wash area, said Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Grant Rogers said.

The victim was transported to University Medical Center, where he died.

As of 8 p.m. Saturday, Metro had no witnesses or suspects.
