Inmate dies at Clark County jail

An inmate at the Clark County Detention Center died Saturday after a possible medical episode, Las Vegas police said.

Corrections officers were called about 1 p.m. by an inmate who said his cellmate had suffered a seizure. The man, whose name was not released, was found unconscious.

The man was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Police said they were unaware that the inmate had health problems.

Homicide detectives are investigating the death.
