Hearings set on Sloan Hills Mineral Materials Sales

Three meetings set for next week will hear public comments on the proposed Sloan Hills Competitive Mineral Material Sales.

Presentations at the meetings will analyze five alternatives, ranging from no action to sales at both sites under two mining companies.

The schedule is as follows:

• Tuesday, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Henderson Convention Center, 200 S. Water St.

• Wednesday, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Coronado High School, 1001 Coronado Center Drive.

• Thursday, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Liberty High School, 3700 Liberty Heights Ave.

The first hour of each meeting will consist of an open house session where specialists will be available to answer questions and give a 30-minute project presentation.
