Driver dies after vehicle overturns on I-15 exit lane

A man is dead after an accident on Interstate 15 and Charleston Boulevard Sunday night.

Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the single vehicle accident shortly before 8:30 p.m.

According to Highway Patrol spokesman trooper Loy Hixson, the 2008 Mazda RX8 was traveling northbound on I-15 in the westbound Charleston Boulevard exit lane when it appears that the driver made a sudden move to go back on the highway.

The car continued northbound, veering off into the dirt near the Spaghetti Bowl, Hixson said, causing the vehicle to roll over.

The driver was transported to University Medical Center where he died a short time later from his injuries, Hixson said.
