Several comedians are set to perform at The Lounge inside the Palms , 4321 W. Flamingo Road, this month.

Amy Schumer of “Last Comic Standing” and Michael Yo of “Chelsea Lately” are scheduled from Thursday through Saturday. Chris Franjola of “Chelsea Lately” is set for July 28-30.

HIP-HOP DANCERS to CONVERGE
ON Red Rock Resort, The Orleans

The USA and World Hip Hop Dance Championships are set to return to Las Vegas for their 10 -year anniversary. The USA Hip Hop Dance Championship is scheduled for Sunday and Monday , followed by World Hip Hop Dance Championship preliminaries and semi-finals July 27-29. Both are at Red Rock Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd.

The No. 1 hip-hop dance crews from across the USA and 40 countries are scheduled to compete.

Those events lead up to the World Hip Hop Dance Championship Finals July 31 at The Orleans Arena. Defending World Champions from Japan and New Zealand plan to return for a chance to retain the title, gold medals and $25,000 in cash and prizes.

FREE RIDES DURING SUMMER

The District at Green Valley Ranch, 2240 Village Walk Drive, announced that it is planning to give free rides on its carousel.

Normally, a ride costs $2 per guest.

The carousel features 32 animals and two chariot carts.

Summer hours are 3 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 3 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

The District at Green Valley Ranch, 2240 Village Walk Drive, is planning to host the Outdoor Picture Show, free movies at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and Music on Main, free music from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The movies scheduled to be played are “Open Season 3” on Friday and “Kung Fu Panda” on Saturday.

“Venom!,” a new live animal show, is scheduled to run at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. daily through Aug. 14 at the Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd.

The rotating lineup of reptiles to be featured includes rattlesnakes, the desert night snake, gopher snakes and a Gila monster. Animals will be separated from the audience by an enclosure for safety purposes.
