The afternoon is set to feature a dance marathon and drink and food specials. Participants can also try the mechanical bull for $10, with $5 going to HELP. — Three sea-based traveling exhibits are set to be on display through August at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, 900 Las Vegas Blvd. North. “Sea Monsters” explores scary characteristics of undersea dwellers; “Discovery Reef” looks at the interconnection of coral reefs; and “Sanctuary Reef” features a replica of a coral reef in the Florida Keys and discusses the human impact on it. — Create a Change Now plans to host a Circus Garden Party fundraiser from 3 to 6 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Historic Fifth Street School, 401 S. Fourth St. Activities for all ages are planned, including jugglers, stilt walkers, face painting, balloon art, live music and educational components such as planting vegetables and healthy cooking.
