NEVADA HEALTH CENTERS JOB FAIR
SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY
Nevada Health Centers plans to host a job fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Foundation for an Independent Tomorrow, 1931 Stella Lake Drive. Applications for positions such as medical assistant, medical records clerk, front office clerk, registered nurse and others will be accepted. MOB MUSEUM TO OPEN
The Mob Museum, 300 Stewart Ave., is slated to host its grand opening at 10 a.m. today.
The Museum is expected to feature interactive exhibits with stories on the history of organized crime, from New York City to downtown Las Vegas.
The museum is set to be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Tickets are $10 for Nevada residents, $14 for seniors, military personnel, teachers and law enforcement officials, $12 for children and students with a valid ID and $18 for adults.

NEVADA NATURALIST OPEN HOUSE
SET FOR SATURDAY
The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is set to present its open house for the Nevada Naturalist program from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Lifelong Learning Center, 8050 Paradise Road.
Attendees can chat with naturalists and learn about classes, volunteer opportunities and participate in activities. The open house is free and open to the public.

The Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road, is set to host a munch-and-mingle event for nonprofit groups at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday in the Jewel Box Theater.

FILM TO FOCUS ON RACIAL TENSION
IN ’60S AND ’70S AT RANCHO HIGH SCHOOL
The documentary “The Rancho High School Riots” is set to be broadcast on Clark County Television throughout Black History Month, celebrated in February. The film depicts the racial tension between 1967 and 1973 at Rancho High School in the Clark County School District.

Contractors board, association
to offer free air-conditioning units
The Nevada State Contractors Board and the nonprofit Southern Nevada Air Conditioning Refrigeration Service Contractors Association have announced the start of the seventh annual Mission Cool Off program.
The program provides Southern Nevadans with a free air-conditioning unit that has been donated by licensed contractors who also are association members.
The first 100 applications received by Feb. 29 will be considered for selection by a committee based on applicants’ circumstances. The forms can be downloaded at nscb.nv.gov or by calling Ranya Botros at 486-1165.
