Letter to the editor

I am one of many people living in Las Vegas on Social Security. (I) worked for 45 years, paid into the system, (have) not received a raise in three years.

Many people I have talked to receive more in unemployment benefits than working.

The U.S. government should be helping the people, not helping rich organizations like the stock markets, mortgage companies, car companies and banking industries.

People should not lose their home or have to go to bankruptcy to avoid collection agencies.

So far the plan has not worked.

I read your paper and love some articles of interest to me.

I would like to find out if the people agree with me or the U.S. government’s ideas on solving the problems. Money should help people.
