Chaston L. Alber, 16, has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.
He is a member of Troop 849 and a student at Green Valley High School, where he plays lacrosse.
He enjoys golf, four-wheeling and shooting in his free time.
Alber is the son of Michelle and Ken Alber of Henderson.
Coleman D. Barnum, 17, has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.
He is a member of Troop 410 and a student at Foothill High School in Henderson, where he is an honor student.
He enjoys racing quads and is a three-time World Off Road Championship Series champion.
Barnum is the son of Dennis and Jolynne Barnum of Henderson.
Kyle Bleak, 16, has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.
He is a member of Troop 252 and a student at Cimarron-Memorial High School, where he plays football.
Bleak is the son of Steve and Judy Bleak of Las Vegas.
Frank A. Molina V has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
A 2010 graduate of Rancho High School, Molina is the son of Frank Molina Jr. of Las Vegas.
Justin A. Ulin has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. A 2010 graduate of Liberty High School, he is the son of Stephanisa Westbrook of Las Vegas.
Jacelyn Cabunoc-Hale, Matthew Lloyd and Eithan Maler, students at Explore Knowledge Academy Charter School in Henderson, organized a walk-a-thon as part of their freshman studies project. They presented Miracle Flights for Kids with a donation check of $430.
Shelbie Stevens, a student at Coronado High School, and Carly Renner, a student at Las Vegas Academy, were selected as winners of the Advantages Online Private School $1,500 Scholarship Contest that was conducted in the spring.
Contest participants were asked to describe, in a 200-word essay, their biggest academic challenge and their plans to conquer it.
Marc Doty of Las Vegas was named to the dean’s list at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash., for the spring 2011 semester.
Georgia Ranes of Henderson graduated cum laude from Tufts University in Medford, Mass., with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology. Ranes was named to the dean’s list at the university for the spring 2011 semester.
