Circus-themed group show among First Friday arts festival offerings in June
The monthly First Friday arts festival is scheduled from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday throughout the Arts District in downtown Las Vegas. Admission is free. Free parking with shuttle service is available at the Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway.
Live entertainment, artists booths, food vendors and more are planned.

Galleries planning to participate include:
— Blackbird Studios, 1551 S. Commerce St., is scheduled to present “The Greatest Show on Earth,” a circus-themed group show, through June. Visit blackbirdstudioslv.com.
— The Trifecta Gallery inside The Arts Factory, 107 E. Charleston Blvd., plans to show mid-century-produced silkscreen prints by the late Charlie Harper in a “Design in the Desert” exhibit through June 28.
— The Contemporary Arts Center inside The Arts Factory plans to continue showcasing its annual juried show through July 6 and “Exquisite Corpse,” a collection of 20 drawings from 20 former CAC artists. Visit lasvegascac.org.

— Peace N Art Studios Gallery inside The Arts Factory is set to show leatherwork by Glen Galloway.

— The City of the World Gallery, 1229 S. Casino Center Blvd., plans to show work by metal sculptor Rich Ariola and neon art by Chris Ceffalio throughout June. Visit cityoftheworld.org.
— The Brett Wesley Gallery, 1112 S. Casino Center Blvd., is set to show Antonio Gomez’s “Six Years of Solitude,” featuring photographs depicting the artist’s explorations of isolation and childhood issues. — Artist Sharon Gainsburg invites guests of all ages to participate in a collaborative collage piece from 7 to 9 p.m. June 7. The piece builds on a work created last First Friday and is expected to be display in the Gainsburg Studio & Gallery, 1039 S. Main St. No. 130. Call 702-249-3200.
