Sweet Tomatoes plans to support Easter Seals Southern Nevada by offering a free bag of cookies and a coupon toward each diner’s next visit as a thank you for making a donation of $2 or more during June.

Over the last four years, Sweet Tomatoes has donated more than $119,000 to help Easter Seals locations across the country in its mission to help people with disabilities and other challenges.

The money raised will go directly to the Easter Seals services that assist nearly 6,000 Southern Nevada residents living with disabilities.

Participating locations in the Las Vegas Valley are at 375 N. Stephanie St., Henderson, 933-1212; 2080 N. Rainbow Blvd., 648-1957; and 9460 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 100, 242-0277.

Gold Spike offers drink specials

The Gold Spike, 217 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is offering drink specials during June.

Pabst Blue Ribbon drafts and Black Star bottles will be $2 each.

plans Father’S day BBQ Buffet

A Father’s Day BBQ Buffet is planned from noon to 4 p.m. June 19 at The Resort on Mount Charleston, 2275 Kyle Canyon Road.

The outdoor, all-you-can-eat barbecue will include hot dogs, hamburgers, barbecue beef and grilled chicken, along with corn, cole slaw, potato salad, barbecued beans and assorted desserts.

The cost is $15.95 for adults and $7.95 for children 12 or younger. Reservations are encouraged.

Springs Cafe hosting Sunday brunch

The Springs Cafe at the Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd., plans to host an a la carte brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday through June.

The cost is $21 for adults, $12.50 for children ages 4 to 12 and free for children 3 or younger. Coffee and soda are included.

Springs Preserve members receive 10 percent off the brunches.

Purchase tickets now for Yearlong beer festival coming in October

The Las Vegas World Beer Fest is scheduled to be open every Thursday through Sunday for one year beginning Oct. 13.

The international Oktoberfest-style showcase of micro brews, stouts, ales and more is set to take place from noon to 11 p.m. at the southwest corner of Flamingo Road and Koval Lane behind Bally’s.

The event also is set to feature live performances from Las Vegas-based and international bands, an above-ground swimming pool to keep patrons cool, an above-ground spa, fresh food and celebrities from the United States behind some of the taps.

The entrance fee will be $10, and only 5,000 tickets will be available per day. Package deals including ffod and beer tastings also are available.

Bar+Bistro at the arts factory announces happy hour specials

Bar+Bistro at The Arts Factory, 107 E. Charleston Blvd., is offering happy hour specials Monday through Friday.

From 5 to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and Friday, patrons can get $1 Pabst Blue Ribbon, $2 sangria and $3 well drinks.
