Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market is looking for a summer side dish to sell in its stores.

The grand prize winner will have their side dish sold in Fresh & Easy stores and will receive a $500 Fresh & Easy gift card and a new grill.

Project Dinner table set for Saturday
Project Dinner Table plans to host an event Saturday at the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Orchard, 4600 Horse Drive.
Cocktails are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and the dinner for 7:30 p.m. Chefs from chef Mario Batali’s team at B&B Ristorante and Enoteca Otto Pizzeria at The Venetian and Carnevino Italian Steakhouse at the Palazzo plan to prepare the meal.
Each dinner has guests seated together at a long table and lasts approximately four hours. It includes cocktails and coffee, the meal, entertainment, a gift bag and a philanthropic donation.
Saturday’s dinner will benefit We Care, We Share Foundation and Create a Change Now.

Memphis Championship Barbecue founder on Food Network show
Mike Mills, owner of 17th Street Bar & Grill and founder of Memphis Championship Barbecue, recently appeared on the Food Network show “Best Thing I Ever Ate.”
To celebrate, Memphis Championship Barbecue is offering the Rack ’em Up Rewards promotion all summer. Patrons have the chance to earn free Naked Rib dinners and a chance to win an Apple iPad2.
The promotion runs now through Sept. 5.

Haulin Balls Food truck hits the streets
The Haulin Balls Food Truck is now open for business across the Las Vegas Valley, serving specialty meatballs.
Meatballs are made daily with an emphasis on fresh herbs. The menu also includes “Ballwiches,” which are served with your choice of fresh baked roll or Boston lettuce wrap. Favorites include Godfather, a classic Italian meatball sandwich; The Zorba, a spin on the Greek gyro with lamb meatballs; and All Thai’d Up, fresh ginger-lemongrass-turkey meatballs served with various vegetables in lettuce wraps.

Sweet Tomatoes to support
Easter Seals in June
Sweet Tomatoes plans to support Easter Seals Southern Nevada by offering a free bag of cookies and a coupon toward each diner’s next visit as a thank you for making a donation of $2 or more during June.
Over the last four years, Sweet Tomatoes has donated more than $119,000 to help Easter Seals locations across the country in its mission to help people with disabilities and other challenges.
The money raised will go directly to the Easter Seals services that assist nearly 6,000 Southern Nevada residents living with disabilities.
Participating locations in the Las Vegas Valley are at 375 N. Stephanie St., Henderson, 933-1212; 2080 N. Rainbow Blvd., 648-1957; and 9460 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 100, 242-0277.
Springs Cafe hosting Sunday brunch
The Springs Cafe at the Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd., plans to host an a la carte brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday through June.
The cost is $21 for adults, $12.50 for children ages 4 to 12 and free for children 3 or younger. Coffee and soda are included.
Springs Preserve members receive 10 percent off the brunches.
