Development Services Center temporarily closed due to power outage

Las Vegas’ Development Services Center at U.S. Highway 95 and Rancho Drive closed at 2 p.m. Thursday because of problems with electrical power.

NV Energy is having problems with electricity in the area and anticipated the repairs would last at least three more hours, so the city decided to close the building for the rest of the day.

The center is normally closed on Fridays and is scheduled to reopen Monday for regular business hours, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Development Services Center houses the departments of planning, building and safety, land development, city engineer, fire prevention, public works, and operations and maintenance.
