Crash on Interstate 15 leaves 20-year-old dead

A man was killed when his car spun out and crashed into a wall as he traveled south on Interstate 15 early Saturday morning.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, 20-year-old Jesus Hernandez’s 1993 Honda Civic slammed into a barrier just south of the Charleston Boulevard exit shortly before 1 a.m.

The car rebounded from the impact and traveled back into the lanes of southbound I-15.

Hernandez, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Highway Patrol.

The accident might have been caused by another vehicle, the patrol said.
