Coroner: Man found dead in dumpster died of natural causes

The Clark County coroner’s office has ruled that an elderly man whose body was found in an apartment complex dumpster in early November died of natural causes.

Richard Fierro, 73, of Las Vegas, was found dead about 7 a.m. on Nov. 11 in a dumpster at Allanza at the Lakes, the complex where he lived, in the 8600 block of Starboard Drive, near South Durango and Sahara Avenue.

Police did not suspect foul play at that time. The coroner’s office said Fierro died from cardiovascular disease.
