Coroner IDs pedestrian killed while crossing street with 4 year old

The man struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing a street with a child Sunday in North Las Vegas has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

He is Santiago Sanchez-Adame, 57, of North Las Vegas. Sanchez-Adame was walking across Cheyenne Avenue near Civic Center Drive with a 4-year-old boy when they were a struck by a red car about 5:20 p.m.

The card did not stop, police said.

Sanchez-Adame died at University Medical Center. The boy had minor injuries.

The pair were not in a crosswalk when they were struck, police said.
