Coroner identifies suicide victim at MGM Grand

The man who was found dead inof an MGM Grand hotel room Wednesday morning has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Scott Allan Williams, 57, of Greenville, Texas, was found dead by Las Vegas police about 8:20 a.m. Police had responded to the hotel-casino six hours earlier after reports that a man was possibly armed and suicidal in a hotel room.

The coroner’s office said Williams died of a gunshot wound to the head. His death was ruled a suicide.
