California man with Alzheimer’s found alive at Lake Mead

The 72-year-old California man who was reported missing Friday has been found alive in the Lake Mead National Reservation Area.

Michael Johnson, who has Alzheimer’s, was located at 2 p.m. Saturday about 200 yards from where he was last seen near Katherine Landing, according to the National Park Service.

An Arizona Department of Public Safety helicopter found the man, who has been transported to the hospital for evaluation.
