Brookman Elementary students relocated

A Clark County elementary school in the northeast part of the valley was briefly evacuated Monday afternoon because of electrical problems, the Clark County School District announced.

The air conditioning system at Brookman Elementary School, 6225 E. Washington Avenue, stopped working about noon, a spokeswoman for the school district said. The school was also experiencing water and electrical issues.

The students were taken to Eldorado High School until about 1:30 p.m., when the air conditioning at Brookman was fixed and students went back to their normal classes.
