Body found near Green Valley High School investigated as a suicide

Henderson police Monday morning investigated a suicide near the campus of Green Valley High School.

The victim, a 22-year-old man, was found hanging in a tree near the bleachers of the school soccer field about 7 a.m., police spokesman Keith Paul said. A woman who had dropped off her child at school saw the man and called police, he said.

The man was not associated with the school, near Warm Springs Road and Arroyo Grande Boulevard, Paul said.

The Clark County coroner’s office will identify the man.
