2-year-old boy found floating in pool dies

A 2-year-old boy died after he was found floating in his family’s pool Tuesday afternoon, said Boulder City police.

The toddler was not identified.

Police said they received a 911 call at 12:38 p.m. about a child who was not breathing. The boy’s father placed the call after he found his son in the backyard pool at a home on Irene Drive.

The Boulder City Fire Department attempted to resuscitate the toddler. He was pronounced dead at Boulder City Hospital.

The drowning is being investigated.
