Monthly Henderson event will honor Las Vegas shooting victims

The victims of the Route 91 Harvest festival shooting will be honored Tuesday during this month’s “March On” community event in Henderson.

Hosted by Henderson Mayor Debra March, the event will include a moment of silence and tree planting in memory of the 58 victims of the Oct. 1 attack.

The event begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cornerstone Park, 1600 Wigwam Parkway.

Henderson police investigate shooting

Police were dispatched about 8 p.m. to the 1300 block of Horizon Ridge Parkway east of South Stephanie Street on reports of several gunshot being heard, according to a news release.
