Coroner identifies woman killed in east Las Vegas scooter crash

The Clark County coroner identified the Las Vegas woman killed Tuesday after her scooter was struck by a car in the northeast valley.

Police said 62-year-old Patricia Spalding was riding a motorized scooter near East Bonanza Road and Linn Lane when she was struck by a Nissan Sentra that ran a red light.

Spalding later died at University Medical Center. The 17-year-old driver of the Nissan stayed at the scene and did not show signs of impairment, police said. An 11-year-old passenger in the car suffered minor injuries.
