Updated October 31, 2022 - 9:34 am

One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Enterprise.

The crash occurred just before 1:40 p.m. at South Rainbow Boulevard and West Windmill Lane. One person was taken to a hospital where they died, according to Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Justin Byers.

A 2020 Nissan Rogue northbound on Rainbow turned into the path of a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado pickup southbound on Rainbow as it entered the intersection, according to a preliminary Metropolitan Police Department crash report released Saturday evening.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to University Medical Center where he died from his injuries shortly after arrival.

The Clark County coroner’s office identified the man as Gary Wayne Garrison, 74.

Police said the driver of the Silverado remained at the scene and did not display signs of impairment. The driver and a youngster in the pickup suffered minor injuries.

The death was the 124th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
