Timelapse shows a side of Malaysia you’ve never seen — VIDEO

Malaysian photographer Fwukai Quah has wowed Vimeo users with a timelapse video of his home country showcasing a range of landscape across the 13 states of Malaysia.

The film took Quah three years to make as he traveled up and down the country.

Quah told Reuters that he decided to create the film to show his love for the land he was born in, but also to educate the general public who are mostly only familiar with Kuala Lumpur.

Quah also spoke about the fantastic memories he had from filming, including everything from seeing wild animals in the forest, to meeting native tribes whose language he could barely speak.

Quah said the most difficult aspect of filming was weather as he always had to be in the right place at the right time.

Quah also told Reuters that he had to battle the cold in order to get the Milky Way footage he wanted to complete the piece.
