STRIP TIPS: TEST LUCK WITH CLASSIC GAMES

Used to be, nearly every Strip casino had an extensive arcade.

Now, with the emphasis back on sin, there are fewer options for those adults who still enjoy playing like a kid.

For those serious gamers and carnival game lovers, there’s the Fantasy Faire Midway at Excalibur, 3850 Las Vegas Blvd. South, on the hotel’s lower level.

All of the usual carnival games — ring toss and water races, among others — are themed medieval style, such as the Viking Armada water boat race.

Midway games range in price from $1 to $2. Dozens of the latest video games are available in the arcade area, too. Video games start at 25 cents and higher.

The midway is open from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily.

Strip Tips is a weekly feature by Sonya Padgett that highlights attractions and activities on the Las Vegas Strip.
