STRIP TIP: WATCH THE ‘LAVA’ FLOW
July 1, 2007 - 9:00 pm
It may be a blast from the past, 1989 to be exact, but The Mirage volcano is still one of those must-see Strip attractions.
The 54-foot-high “active” volcano shoots fire and smoke into the air while the waterfall turns red, giving it the appearance of molten lava.
The show is free. During the summer, it begins at the top of each hour from 8 p.m. to midnight, weather permitting.
Strip Tips is a weekly feature by Sonya Padgett that highlights attractions and activities on the Las Vegas Strip.
