SEE THE BIG PICTURE

Nothing beats spending a hot summer day in a refrigerator-cool movie theater, except maybe spending it in an Imax theater.

The Luxor Imax Theatre offers a larger than life look at everything from the depths of the ocean to the sky and beyond.

Two new 3-D documentaries are showing on the seven-story screen: “Dinosaurs 3D: Giants of Patagonia” and “Lions 3D: Roar of the Kalahari.”

Other films in rotation include “Deep Sea 3D” and two traditional-format movies: “Mystery of the Nile” and “Fighter Pilot.”

The films last about 45 minutes and cost $11.99 each.

The theater is open daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. with movies starting at the top of each hour.
