MUSIC

The Great Romance, a Christian rock band, will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway. General admission is $10, or $8 with a donation of a nonperishable food item. All proceeds will benefit the food bank at Henderson Presbyterian Church (454-8484).

EVENTS

In honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, a novena will take place at 5 p.m. today at St. Bridget Roman Catholic Church, 220 N. 14th St. The Rev. Cornelio Jaranilla Jr., a Carmelite priest, will be the celebrant (384-3382).

Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave., will host the community forum "Healthy Dining on a Budget" with registered dietitian Debi Meyer at 11 a.m. Sunday. The community forum "Elder Law Services" with estate and tax attorney David Grant of Jeffrey Burr Ltd. will be presented at 11 a.m. July 24 (732-2052).

First Henderson United Methodist Church, 609 E. Horizon Drive, will host a karaoke night program featuring music and refreshments 6-8 p.m. July 23. Donations will be accepted to help build a new sanctuary for the church (565-6049).

Valley Outreach Synagogue — P’nai Tikvah will offer Shabbat Around the Valley dinners at 6 p.m. Friday and July 29. The dinners are open to the public, but space is limited. For reservations, call the synagogue at 436-4900.

MEETINGS

The Secular Franciscans of St. Margaret of Cortona fraternity meets at 12:30 p.m. the fourth Sunday of the month at Pace E Bene offices, 1420 W. Bartlett Ave. (453-2417).

CLASSES

First Presbyterian Church of Las Vegas, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd., will offer CityCamp, a Calvin Crest Camp day camp, Aug. 1-3. The children’s camp is for incoming third graders to sixth graders. The deadline to register is July 24 (384-4554).

Valley Outreach Synagogue — P’nai Tikvah will offer a Torah study with Rabbi Yocheved Mintz at 10 a.m. July 23. Torah studies will also be offered at 10 a.m. Aug. 6 and Aug. 20. To RSVP, call 436-4900.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church sponsors a singles group for people 45 and older (228-8311, ext. 7333 or 7334).
