MUSIC

The Southern Nevada chapter of the American Guild of Organists will present a recital featuring Dr. Joyce Jones at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Christ Church Episcopal, 2000 S. Maryland Parkway. The performance is free and open to the public (274-9495).

EVENTS

The 12th annual Jewish Film Festival opens with three films beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at The Adelson Educational Campus, 9700 Hillpointe Road. The festival will continue on select dates through Jan. 27. Film festival passes are $50, and include admission to all films. Individual tickets are $10 per film (lvjff.org).

“My Big Fat Jewish Wedding,” an interactive dinner event to benefit Congregation P’nai Tikvah, will be presented at 5 p.m. Jan. 20 at The Adelson Educational Campus, 9700 Hillpointe Road. Tickets start at $60. For reservations, visit pnaitikvahlv.org or call 436-4900.

The Sathya Sai Baba Devotional Singing Group meets at 5 p.m. Sundays at 1128 Triumph Court (461-8655).

CLASSES

First Henderson United Methodist Church, 609 E. Horizon Drive, Henderson, will offer “Invitation to the New Testament,” a Bible study class on exploring the writings of the New Testament, on Wednesday evenings beginning this week at 7 p.m. (565-6049).

Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave., offers English as a Second Language conversational classes at 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Saturdays. Volunteers interested in teaching can call 541-1952 or 732-2052.

Community Baptist Church, 245 E. Foster Ave., Henderson, offers a free reading program for all ages 7-9 p.m. Wednesdays (565-0071).

SINGLES GROUPS
